dataTaker 500s were installed in place of chart recorders at automatic pumping stations to monitor pump operation and performance.

The dataTakers raise alarms if operational limits are exceeded. These alarms are in turn transmitted via modem to alphanumeric pagers worn by maintenance staff. Alarms include reporting tank levels which are too low, problems in the chlorine rooms, pump operation, etc.

The dataTaker 500s also collect and store operational information in memory. Up to 330,000 readings can be stored and downloaded to a computer for visualization, reporting, etc.
